Susan Chi worked as the Chief Examiner on the Patent Re-Examination Board at the China State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) following acquisition of her Bachelor's degree in Microelectronics Engineering and Bachelor's degree in Intellectual Property Law. She has extensive experience examining patent applications and requests for invalidation of patent rights. She also acted as the Attorney of the Board for administrative actions. Her intellectual property experience includes internship in the Intellectual Property Court of Qing Dao Intermediate People's Court. In addition, she is qualified as a China Patent Attorney in 2008.

Susan is now pursuing her PhD in Law at the University of Hong Kong. As a part-time research assistant, she has helped the Faculty of Law in translating International and Comparative Intellectual Property: Law and Practice (bilingual edition) (LexisNexis, 2005) and is doing research in the field of Chinese Patent Law.

Susan has been working on patent prosecution for China patent applications, as well as prior art searches and patent infringement analysis.

Susan's working languages are English, Chinese and Cantonese.
