Our firm Ella Cheong (Hong Kong & Beijing) was established by Ella Cheong (one of the pioneers in the field of intellectual property in Asia) specializing in identifying, registering, licensing and enforcing trade mark, design and patents rights as well as copyrights in Greater China (i.e. China, Hong Kong and Macau). We have a staff of around 45 but are growing rapidly in response to clients' needs in the region. Our team comprises trade mark lawyers, patent attorneys and technical experts with impeccable academic credentials and many years of experience representing international, regional and local corporations as well as governmental agencies in intellectual property matters.

Having built a stellar reputation in the international IP community. Ella Cheong was invited by the Singapore Government to establish a firm in Singapore, which she did under the original name of Ella Cheong & Co., now (through various changes and joint venture) known as Ella Cheong Spruson & Ferguson (Singapore / Malaysia), dealing with all types of IPRs in all Southeast Asian countries
